How to teach your kids to ask for what they want

It's difficult to say what's on the mind of any human not to talk of kids, except
probably you are a mind reader.

When children are young we use the sign and body language they give us to understand what they are saying, but as they get older they need to strike a balance in communication with adults.

Sometimes, you can ask your kids simple questions like what would you like me to do for you? how can i help you solve this or that, just to encourage them to come out of their shell and speak, make eye contact with them it makes learning easier. Teach them to be bold and ask for whatever they want. They should never be afraid of ridicule. Help them gain confidence at all times.

It might be challenging sometimes as parents to know when to step back and allow our children try something new or make decisions on their own like what to wear without any form of supervision.

Even when your child asks you a question, be patient enough to listen to what him/her has to say and try to understand them, children's ability to make requests improves as they get older. Show them that you are their biggest fan, support and encourage them all the way. When they are aware you've got their back they will be more secure about taking risk.

When you teach your kids to be bold, you are teaching them how to approach the world and this will help them figure out things on their own, they become more confident and are able to stand up tall.
